Let’s talk about food!
How would you describe food? What about your relationship with food? If you were asking me this few months ago, I would simply say food is “what’s on your plate” or “what you eat”. That is perfectly right, nothing to contradict in these affirmations, but now I would say that food is “everything around you for you”. Let me make it more clear and explain how food works in my world.
Took me some time to understand that everything comes into my life is food, all what is on my plate and off my plate, as I like to call it now “primary food” and “secondary food”. Now for sure I created some confusion…no worries I’m here to explain everything for you.
Let’s start with the primary food. Primary food is everything that is beyond your plate, as in your relationship with yourself and others, your environment at home and at work, the products you are using, clothes you are wearing, cosmetics, detergents etc. You would not even think that all this is having a huge impact on your whole life and is one the main factors influencing the quality of your health.
Second category is what you have on your plate as I like to call it “secondary food” but not less important, the right food on your plate can set up your mood for the entire day. Choosing the most nutritious foods can be challenging sometimes, especially when we don’t really know what’s the best for us. There must be always a balance between this two, otherwise your body and mental health will be affected.
